Cannabis Growers

You can now grow cannabis legally!  Compost has always been known to work exceptionally well to aid its growth. Cannabis is a crop that likes well-drained soil with high organic matter and high fertility.

By adding 2 inches of compost to your cannabis grow area, you can create the super plants you have always wanted.

As well, cannabis likes the sun and does not tolerate frost. Start your plants indoors and do not plant outdoors until after the last full moon in June. Choose varieties that will grow in our Nova Scotian climate. See our knowledge link for two great books.

Remember healthy soil creates healthy “weed”. I have not had to use any pesticide on my own plants, ever!

Special Pot Blend

Fundy Compost is creating a special “pot” soil which is a mixture of 25% mineral soil and 75% compost. This mix can be used for containerized growing. Alternatively you can apply 0.5” to 2” of compost to existing vegetable beds to “upgrade” your soil to grow cannabis.
